Photocatalytic sorption materials | EU

Funding period:Jan. 1, 2018 to Dec. 31, 2019
Agency: Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport

Acknowledgements

We acknowledge funding by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport project "Photocatalytic sorption materials" (EU)

Description

The objective of the project is supporting the professional development of researchers and research organizations by strengthening the development of human resources; enhancing international cooperation and developing human resources in research. The projects funded the research stay at our Chair, in the group of Environmental Nanotechnology, of Dr. Ladislav Svoboda from VSB - Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic. The research objective is focused on the preparation and testing of new photocatalytic sorption materials. Nanoparticles are deposited on fabric and they are tested for the adsorption and photocatalytic degradation of different pollutants. The aim of this research is to develop new functional fabrics for a) protection of civil and military units against toxic substances and b) wastewater and air treatment.
