Horacio studied Electronics Engineering in the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (Spain) & the Universidad de los Andes (Colombia) from 2008 to 2013. He got his Dipoma on "Upconverting and plasmonic nanomaterials for targeted detection and treatment of bladder cancer" with Dr. Won Park at the University of Colorado Boulder (United States). Currently he is enrolled in the Erasmus Mundus Master of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, a joined degree offered by the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium) & the Technische Universit�t Dresden (Germany). In November 2015, for his master thesis, he joined the group of Prof. Cuniberti under the supervision of Dr. Baraban. In Dresden, he plans to work with silicon nanowires based biosensors for neural interfaces.
