Anja studied Bioprocess Engineering at TU Dresden from 1998 to 2003. She worked with Prof. Gelinsky on the development of scaffolds for tissue engineering of bone and cartilage using flock technology. After defending her PhD in 2010 she worked on materials for wound coverage and the development of scaffolds for skin replacement. In 2010 she also joined the group of Prof. Rösen-Wolff in the university hospital Carl Gustav Carus, department of pediatrics where she studied th e response of human neutrophil granulocytes to inflammatory stimuli. Since September 2012 she is a member of the InnoMedTec-Group.
